North Carolina Central University
The Department of Physics invites applications for a tenure track faculty
position beginning August 2001. The successful candidate must hold
the Ph.D. degree in Physics with subsequent postdoctoral experience. She
or he must also demonstrate proficiency and enthusiasm for
teaching undergraduate physics courses, including courses for non-science
majors. Preference will be given to candidates whose research
interests are commensurate with ongoing research in the department that
includes: Theory of hadronic structure with electromagnetic probes,
nuclear few body computational physics, experimental nuclear physics, and
semiconductor and photovoltaic physics. The successful candidate
will have the opportunity to participate in the design of the University's
new science complex. The position will be filled at a level
appropriate to the successful candidate's training and experience.
