PHYSICS 123A: Waves and Optics
Wave motion is a central element of life as we know it.
From the ripples on a pond of water, to the propagation of light, to the underlying
behaviour of elementary particles at atomic distance scales,
wave motion as we will learn about in this course
can simply describe these vastly different phenomena.
