Sometimes, one would like to include JPEG files. For example, some
generated .eps files are way too large for submission to preprint
archives. To include these, first make a jpeg using xv, the Gimp, or
some other program, then use the jpeg2ps program to convert
this compressed JPEG image back to a .eps file. This may the be
included in LATEX as usual.
One can also do this with PNG files if you use the img2ps
program.
