High Quality PDF files

The simplest way to make PDF files (Adobe's Portable Document Format) seems to be to translate a postscript file to a PDF file using ps2pdf. This, however, usually produces very ugly fonts. One fix that seems to work is to give dvips the option ``-Ppdf''. This may not be availible on early versions. See the following web page for details:
