I am a predoctoral candidate in Physics at the University of Washington, studying the nanopore MspA for the use in nanopore sequencing. In 2005 I received a B.S.E. in Engineering Physics and in Applied Mathematics at Colorado University in Boulder. Outside of the lab, I immerse myself in the outdoors with activities including I backcountry skiing, climbing, hiking, biking, and sailing. Inside the city I love brewing beer, baking bread, learning harmonica and swing dancing.
I was published in PNAS for the development of a novel sequencing technique using MspA.
