UW Department of Physics

PREFACE

This handbook is your guide to the Undergraduate Physics Program at the University of Washington. It contains a lot of specific information and some advice. Here you will find all the details of the graduation requirements plus reasons for them. Also, there are sample programs, hints about job hunting, advice on the meaning of grades, suggestions for graduate school applications and job hunting, and many other things.

When you have a question about your studies, this is the first place to look for an answer. If what you find is not enough, you are encouraged to consult the undergraduate adviser Margot Nims (margot@phys.washington.edu / 206-543-2772 / C139A, PAT).
