Physics Graduate Student Council(PGSC)
The physics graduate students created the PGSC to represent them in dealings with the Physics Department. The PGSC's main task is to facilitate communication between the graduate students and the administration on issues relevant to the graduate students. To do so, the PGSC keeps in regular contact with Department administrators and the graduate students at large (typically via email) and holds monthly meetings and special topics meetings. PGSC meetings are open to all Physics graduate students but members of the PGSC are required to attend. PGSC members include the spokesperson, the secretary/treasurer, two Graduate and Professional Student Senate (GPSS) senators, student representatives to Physics Department committees and students who attend Physics Department faculty meetings. Elections for all positions are held annually in May.
